Welcome to the Windows Live™ ID Client 1.0 software development kit (SDK). The SDK includes both this documentation and WLIDClientSDK.msi, a package of installable components that you can obtain from the Windows Live ID Client download page on Microsoft.com.

This documentation will help you start developing client applications that include Windows Live ID authentication. The API is exposed as a .NET Framework 2.0 managed assembly to which you must add a reference within your Windows® Forms applications.

This SDK includes a sample application and a ready-to-use Sign In dialog box. The sample application demonstrates how to use the API to incorporate Windows Live features, such as the Sign In dialog box, into your Windows Forms client applications.
