Parameters

element: Type: System.Xml.Linq.XElement
The XElement to cast to Decimal.

Return Value

Type: System.Decimal
A Decimal that contains the content of this XElement.

Exceptions

Exception	Condition
FormatException	The element does not contain a valid Decimal value.
ArgumentNullException	The element parameter is null.

Examples

The following example creates an element with a decimal value. It then retrieves the value of the attribute by casting to Decimal.

decimal value = (decimal)root;
Console.WriteLine("value={0}", value);

This example produces the following output:
