The following example creates an element with a decimal value. It then retrieves the value of the attribute by casting to Decimal.
XElement root = new XElement("Root", "79228162514264337593543950335"); decimal value = (decimal)root; Console.WriteLine("value={0}", value);
This example produces the following output:
value=79228162514264337593543950335
