XAttribute Explicit Conversion (XAttribute to Single)

Cast the value of this XAttribute to a Single.

This API is not CLS-compliant.

Assembly:  System.Xml.Linq (in System.Xml.Linq.dll)
F# does not support the declaration of new casting operators.

Parameters

attribute
Type: System.Xml.Linq.XAttribute

The XAttribute to cast to Single.

Return Value

Type: System.Single
A Single that contains the content of this XAttribute.
ExceptionCondition
FormatException

The attribute does not contain a valid Single value.

ArgumentNullException

The attribute parameter is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

The following example creates an attribute with single precision floating point content. It then retrieves the value by casting to Single.

No code example is currently available or this language may not be supported.

This example produces the following output:

value=3.402823E+38
