ReadOnlyMetadataCollection<T> Class

Represents a collection of members in the ADO.NET metadata hierarchy by providing a read-only collection with advanced lookup capabilities. This class is derived from the ReadOnlyCollection class.

System.Object
  System.Collections.ObjectModel.ReadOnlyCollection<T>
    System.Data.Metadata.Edm.ReadOnlyMetadataCollection<T>
      System.Data.Metadata.Edm.ItemCollection

Namespace:  System.Data.Metadata.Edm
Assembly:  System.Data.Entity (in System.Data.Entity.dll)
public class ReadOnlyMetadataCollection<T> : ReadOnlyCollection<T>
where T : MetadataItem

Type Parameters

T

The type of elements in the collection.

The ReadOnlyMetadataCollection<T> type exposes the following members.

  Name Description
Public property Count Gets the number of elements contained in the ReadOnlyCollection<T> instance. (Inherited from ReadOnlyCollection<T>.)
Public property IsReadOnly Gets a value indicating whether this collection is read-only.
Public property Item[Int32] Gets the element at the specified index. (Inherited from ReadOnlyCollection<T>.)
Public property Item[String] Gets an item from this collection by using the specified identity.
Protected property Items Returns the IList<T> that the ReadOnlyCollection<T> wraps. (Inherited from ReadOnlyCollection<T>.)

  Name Description
Public method Contains(T) Determines whether an element is in the ReadOnlyCollection<T>. (Inherited from ReadOnlyCollection<T>.)
Public method Contains(String) Determines whether the collection contains an item with the specified identity.
Public method CopyTo Copies the entire ReadOnlyCollection<T> to a compatible one-dimensional Array, starting at the specified index of the target array. (Inherited from ReadOnlyCollection<T>.)
Public method Equals(Object) Determines whether the specified Object is equal to the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Protected method Finalize Allows an object to try to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before it is reclaimed by garbage collection. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method GetEnumerator Returns an enumerator that can iterate through this collection.
Public method GetHashCode Serves as a hash function for a particular type. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method GetType Gets the Type of the current instance. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method GetValue Retrieves an item from this collection by using the specified identity.
Public method IndexOf Returns the index of the specified value in this collection.
Protected method MemberwiseClone Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method ToString Returns a string that represents the current object. (Inherited from Object.)
Public method TryGetValue Retrieves an item from this collection by using the specified identity.
