Windows Live Alerts SDK

The Windows Live Alerts SDK, version 2.5, enables developers familiar with Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) to programmatically integrate with the Alerts notification service and perform administrative tasks that are not available using the Windows Live Alerts web site.

The SDK documentation is divided into five sections:

What's New in the Windows Live Alerts SDK provides information on recent updates to the SDK for users of earlier versions.

Getting Started with the Windows Live Alerts SDK describes the target audience and scenarios for the Alerts SDK and the information you need to provide to use the Alerts Service.

About the Windows Live Alerts SDK contains information about the messaging flow between Windows Live Alerts and the partner, how Windows Live Alerts verifies inbound Web services requests, how to use the production and testing environments to test and deploy applications that use the service, and a link to the WSDL document that defines all of the web services in this SDK.

The SDK Reference for Windows Live Alerts contains reference material for the Subscription Services, Message Services, Actions, Data Definitions, XML-RPC PING Service, and Response Codes for the Alerts Service.

Windows Live Alerts Sample SOAP Messages contains examples that demonstrate how to initiate Requests and process Responses from the Alerts Service.
