SearchGuideUrl Method

Not supported. Retrieves the URL of a page that can be used to install additional search providers.

Syntax

pbstrUrl = window.external.SearchGuideUrl()

Return Value

String that contains the alternate URL from the registry, or the default URL if an alternate has not been set.

Possible Exceptions

Permission denied (0x80070005) Method is not allowed in the current domain.

Remarks

SearchGuideUrl was introduced in Windows Internet Explorer 7.

This method can only be called from a "first run" page in the correct domain.
