D3DXMatrixTranslation function

Builds a matrix using the specified offsets.

Syntax


D3DXMATRIX* D3DXMatrixTranslation(
  _Inout_  D3DXMATRIX *pOut,
  _In_     FLOAT x,
  _In_     FLOAT y,
  _In_     FLOAT z
);

Parameters

pOut [in, out]

Type: D3DXMATRIX*

Pointer to the D3DXMATRIX structure that is the result of the operation.

x [in]

Type: FLOAT

X-coordinate offset.

y [in]

Type: FLOAT

Y-coordinate offset.

z [in]

Type: FLOAT

Z-coordinate offset.

Return value

Type: D3DXMATRIX*

Pointer to a D3DXMATRIX structure that contains a translated transformation matrix.

Remarks

The return value for this function is the same value returned in the pOut parameter. In this way, the D3DXMATRIXTranslation can be used as a parameter for another function.
