Integrated Help Shortcut Keys, Visual Studio 6 Scheme

The following shortcut key combinations can be used to view and move among topics in Help.

Displays the Contents window for the documentation that is contained in Microsoft Document Explorer.

Help.F1Help

Displays a topic from Help that corresponds to the current user interface selected.

Help.HowDoI

CTRL + F1

Displays the top-level How Do I topic.

Help.Index

CTRL + ALT + F2

Displays the Index window for the documentation that is contained in Microsoft Document Explorer.

Help.NextTopic

ALT + DOWN ARROW

Displays the next topic in the table of contents.

Help.PreviousTopic

ALT + UP ARROW

Displays the previous topic in the table of contents. Available only in the Help (Web) browser window.

Help.Search

CTRL + ALT + F3

Displays the Search page, which lets you search for words or phrases in the documentation that is contained in Microsoft Document Explorer.

Help.SearchResults

SHIFT + ALT + F3

Places focus in the Search Results section of the Search page, which lists the topics that contain the string searched for from the Search page.

Help.WindowHelp

SHIFT + F1

Displays a topic from Help that corresponds to the current user interface.
