Submitting Feedback: FAQs

Windows Mobile SupportedWindows Embedded CE Not Supported

Because Microsoft values your input, every topic ends with a Documentation Feedback section that gives you the opportunity to rate that topic and send your feedback to the documentation team,

A: Your feedback helps us improve the documentation and the product.

A: We screen every piece of feedback and then take the appropriate action.

  • If the feedback reports a problem in the documentation, such as an error, inconsistency, or oversight, then the documentation writer reviews the feedback and responds to you. For example, the response might request clarification, or tell you how we plan to address a minor issue. If your feedback requires significant changes, then when we finish the work we send another reply to notify you of the resolution.
  • If your feedback requests additional documentation, or if it comments on overall content organization, then we review the request, but you may not receive a personal reply.
  • If the feedback is about broader, product-wide issues, we forward it to the appropriate group.
  • If the feedback is about issues in the product itself (not about the product documentation), then we reply with advice about other feedback channels that might be more appropriate.
Many factors affect whether we make changes based on feedback. Although we take customer feedback very seriously, we might not be able to implement all suggestions we receive.

A: We store your e-mail address in order to communicate with you about your feedback. Also, we might follow-up with you about other product and documentation improvement issues related to Windows Mobile 6.5, such as by inviting you to participate in documentation surveys or focus groups. We do not sell or share your personal information with other individuals or companies.

Your participation in this feedback process does not affect your membership in other Microsoft associations, and it does not add your e-mail address to other Microsoft databases or distribution lists.

A: By collecting feedback using e-mail, we more easily gather the contact information we need when we reply to you about the issue. Also, by sending feedback using e-mail, you can more easily send a greater amount of information and you can send information that uses multiple data types, such as rich text or screen captures.
