RuntimeTypeHandle.Inequality Operator (Object, RuntimeTypeHandle)

Indicates whether an object and a RuntimeTypeHandle structure are not equal.

Namespace:  System
Assemblies:   System.Runtime (in System.Runtime.dll)
  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

public static bool operator !=(
	Object left,
	RuntimeTypeHandle right
)

Parameters

left
Type: System.Object

An object to compare to right.

right
Type: System.RuntimeTypeHandle

A RuntimeTypeHandle structure to compare to left.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if left is a RuntimeTypeHandle and is not equal to right; otherwise, false.

Using this operator to compare two variables of type RuntimeTypeHandle causes an ambiguous overload resolution error when compiled. Use the Equals method instead.
