Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone

Use your Windows Phone apps and games to make money by including ads from Microsoft Advertising. The Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone enables you to create apps that can:

  • Easily integrate text and banner ads from Microsoft pubCenter into your apps and games.

  • Provide a monetization solution that maximizes in-app advertising revenues by unlocking the power of multiple sales channels that compete in real time to purchase your ad inventory.

  • Provide ad targeting capabilities to deliver the most relevant ads to your users.

  • Seamlessly handle impression reporting.

The ads shown in Windows Phone apps and games are integrated with Microsoft pubCenter to monitor your ad performance in real time.

The AdControl can be used in Windows Phone 8 apps and apps targeting Windows Phone 7.x.

For backwards compatibility with Windows Phone 7, XNA games can still be built using the DrawableAd and AdGameComponent classes. You can also display ads in Windows 7 hybrid Silverlight/XNA apps using the DrawableAd and AdComponent classes.

The documentation for the SDK is divided into the following sections:
