The core OS services consist of the Windows Mobile kernel and other features that are common to all Windows Mobile OS designs. Core OS services enable low-level tasks, such as process, thread, and memory management. Basic device drivers are also part of the Windows Mobile core OS services.

Serial Communications

Provides information on communicating with devices or Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites by way of a serial connection.

State and Notifications Broker

State and Notifications Broker provides a mechanism for storing system and application information in the registry and provides a notification system for changes in the stored information.

Core OS Reference

Provides reference information about the core OS APIs that are available for use in Windows Mobile applications.

Serial Communications

Provides a reference for devices that can communicate with other computers, printers, modems, or Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites over a serial connection.
