Change the properties for extended data types without accessing the Application Object Tree (AOT). You must be an administrator to make these changes. All changes must be made before data is entered in the system.
Example
To change the number of decimal places on the data type, enter the number of decimal places you require in the field. If you change the number from 2 to 0, an amount that inherits from the data type appears as 200 instead of 200.00. The change is reflected everywhere that the data type is used.
Modify data types

Open the form from the initialization checklist or click > > > .

Select the data type in the middle pane.
Help text appears in the left pane, and the properties for the selected data type appear in the pane.
