undefined Default. The style property does not participate in decoration color determination. The next-lowest applicable style property (by IHTMLRenderStyle::renderingPriority) will have its decoration color used. If there are no applicable style properties with defined decoration color, then the selection text color is used by default transparent Windows Internet Explorer 8 in IE8 Standards mode and later: The decoration is not drawn.
Internet Explorer 8 in lower modes or prior versions of Internet Explorer: The decoration is drawn using the current default background color as defined by Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) rules.

The decoration color applies to all decorations rendered for the text, whether default decorations from HTML and CSS or those coming from other IHTMLRenderStyle objects. Multiple styles can contribute different decorations, but only a single color will apply to them all (determined by the highest priority style property).
