select method

Highlights the input area of a form element.

Syntax

HRESULT retVal = object.select();

Parameters

This method has no parameters.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks

Use this method with the IHTMLElement2::focus method to highlight a field and position the cursor for a user response.
