See your current location using GPS
To see and track your current location by using GPS, you must have already installed and configured your GPS receiver.

On the Tools menu in MapPoint, point to GPS, and then click Start GPS tracking.
– or –
On the Standard toolbar, click GPS Task Pane .gif)
, and then select Start GPS tracking. (This is the default option when you open the GPS task pane.)
To choose a map view to use when tracking your location or using the Driving Guidance feature, on the Tools menu, point to GPS, and then click Arrange Map View.
– or –
On the Standard toolbar, click GPS Task Pane , select Start GPS tracking, and then select Arrange map view.
Note When you are using a GPS receiver with MapPoint and you enable Start GPS Tracking, the Location Finder feature is disabled automatically.
The default Arrange map view option keeps your position centered on the map as you travel. If you prefer to have the map dynamically zoom to the best view as you approach turns, click Use Dynamic Turn View.
To configure the map to rotate to follow your travel direction, on the Tools menu , point to GPS, and then click Allow Map to Rotate.

On the Standard toolbar, click GPS Task Pane , click Start GPS tracking, then click Rotate map to follow travel direction.
To create a trail of your GPS positions as you travel, on the Tools menu , point to GPS, and then click Create GPS Trail.

On the Standard toolbar, click GPS Task Pane , and then select Create GPS trail. The trail remains visible on the map until you delete it by selecting the trail and pressing Delete.
To view the latitude and longitude coordinates of your current location, on the Tools menu, click GPS Task Pane.
Note You can also use a GPS receiver with Pocket Streets to see your current location. To learn how to use Pocket Streets on your Pocket PC, open Pocket Streets Help. To learn how to use Pocket Streets for Smartphone, open the Help file that was installed on your computer when you installed Pocket Streets.
