This Quick Start Guide provides scaled down instructions for installing and configuring a complete installation of Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 including RFID on a single computer running Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
Use this guide if you are configuring a BizTalk Server installation for evaluation or development purposes. If you are installing BizTalk Server on a production computer you should review the complete installation guide for your operating system.
The information in this Quick Start Guide assumes certain prerequisite knowledge on behalf of the reader. Antivirus software may prevent assemblies from registering. If you encounter an "Error 1935" during installation, turn off any antivirus software and restart the installation.

Hardware Requirements
The following table shows the minimum recommended hardware requirements for a BizTalk Server 2006 R2 installation. In a production environment, the volume of traffic may dictate greater hardware requirements for your servers.

Business Activity Services (BAS) requires that Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 with Service Pack 2 (WSS SP2) is installed. BAS is only supported with WSS SP2.

BizTalk RFID uses MSMQ to store and forward messages. When BizTalk Server 2006 is installed, an MSMQ-related adapter (the BizTalk Message Queuing adapter) is also installed. We recommend that you do not run both standard Message Queuing (MSMQ) and BizTalk Message Queuing (MSMQT) on the same computer. For more information about the compatibility of MSMQ and the MSMQT adapter on the same computer, refer to the BizTalk Server documentation.
