Organization units

In the Organization dialog box, you can set up the formal organizational units (Line organization) and informal workgroups or teams (Matrix or Project organization) that make up your company. These units can be structured in a primary and subordinate unit hierarchy.

You can manage a variety of information for all kinds of units:

  • Address and contact details.
  • Employee affiliations. This includes hiring employee to work in the unit, moving employees from one unit to another, and viewing an affiliation history.
  • All related positions.
  • Headcount settings and the total number of employees assigned to each unit.
  • Strategic plans that are assigned to the unit.
