Use the Business Data Item Properties dialog box to define data items for the Data of Interest shape in your orchestration diagram. Data items become BAM activity items when you export the BAM activity definition.

Type a name for the data item.

The business data item name may not begin with a space or a number, may not contain the following characters (` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - + = [ ] {{ }} \ / | ; : ' " , . ? < > € « »), may not contain non-space whitespace characters, and may not contain two spaces in a row. From the drop-down list, select the data type for the item. Data types include:

Maximum length
|
Type the maximum length of the business data item.
Note
This field is only enabled for text data items.

Description
|
Type a description for the data item.
Note
ODBA does not export data item descriptions as part of the BAM activity definition.
