A measurement element automatically posts transactions to a measurement. Each active element must be included in the measurement's formula.

Note
If you manually post transactions using measurement journals, you do not need to create elements.

1. Click Balanced scorecard > Scorecard > Objectives > .
   
2. Select the relevant measurement and then click Elements.
   
3. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.
   
4. In the Measurement element field, enter a unique identifier for the element.
   
5. To open the Element Wizard where you set up the element's query, click Product Model Wizard.
   

   Note
   By using the wizard, you can choose to use a predefined query, or you can select a table. The wizard also helps you set up the measurement and calculation expressions of the element.
