General Event Notification Architecture (GENA)

The General Event Notification Architecture (GENA) protocol provides for the sending of HTTP Notifications using administratively scoped unreliable Multicast UDP. Multicast UDP allows a single notification to be delivered to a potentially large group of recipients using only a single request.

The RFC for GENA is stored by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

.For information on GENA, see General Event Notification Architecture Base: Client to Arbiter.
