The glossary explains the terminology that is used in the Microsoft® MapPoint®
Location Server SDK.
An attribute of a contact relationship that means that a provisioned user is
able to find the location of his or her contact
If a contact relationship is inactive, the provisioned users cannot locate each
other.
Accuracy of a location is expressed in terms of distance and can be defined as
the radius of a circle within which a locatable end point (such as a
provisioned phone) can be located.
A provisioned user who belongs to the same enterprise as another user, and
whose location the other user can potentially find. Provisioned users cannot
find their contacts until the contacts grant them permission to do so.
An attribute that defines the language for a Find Nearby category, based on
user preference. A culture can be either neutral or specific. For example, the
culture for U.S. English is "en-US", while the neutral culture for English is
“en.”
Culture in MapPoint Location Server follows the Request for Comment (RFC) 1766
standard in the format "languagecode2-regioncode2", where languagecode2
is a lowercase two-letter code derived from International Organization for
Standardization (ISO) 639-1 and regioncode2 is an uppercase two-letter
code derived from ISO 3166. The format for a culture is "languagecode2".
