You can copy the setup of an existing measurement, including its elements, to a new measurement and avoid having to re-enter setup data. Because measurements cannot exist independent of objectives and scorecards, before you can copy a setup the new scorecard and objectives must already exist.

After you have copied measurement settings, you can modify the new setup to suit the needs of your new measurement.

1. Click Balanced scorecard > Objectives.
   
2. Select the objective to which the measurement is related, and click Measurements.
   
3. Select the measurement you want to copy, and click Copy.
   
4. In the Copy measurement dialog box, under Create new measure, select the Scorecard and Objective to which the new measurement applies.
   
5. In the Measurement field, enter a unique identifier for the new measurement.
   
6. To also copy setups from all elements related to the measurement, select the Copy elements check box.
