Today Screen API References

The following table describes the Today Screen API members you can use to write and install custom Today screen DLLs.

Member Description
CustomItemOptionsDlgProc function Implements an Options dialog box in the Today settings screen.
InitializeCustomItem function Initializes a custom item for the Today screen.
TODAYDRAWWATERMARKINFO structure Contains information for creating transparent backgrounds for Today screen items.
TODAYLISTITEM structure Contains information for a single Today Screen item.
WM_TODAYCUSTOM_CLEARCACHE message Sent to the window of a Today screen custom item when that item is about to be unloaded.
WM_TODAYCUSTOM_QUERYREFRESHCACHE message Sent to the window of a Today screen custom item to determine whether or not the item data has been updated.
