WMI and SQL

WMI queries use WMI Query Language (WQL), a subset of SQL. For more information about WMI queries, see Querying with WQL. The WMI ODBC adapter also has specific WQL statements. For more information about the ODBC Adapter, see Operating System Availability of WMI Components.
