Using the Connected Services Framework Components

Connected Services Framework
The goal of the Connected Services Framework Consumer API is to abstract and simplify the WSE calls to the Connected Services Framework components.

Why Should I Use the Connected Services Framework Consumer API to Send Messages to the Connected Services Framework Components?

The four Connected Services Framework components are WSE Web services. Their Web methods could be called directly by any client application capable of making WSE calls, but we do not recommend this approach. Instead, we recommend using the Connected Services Framework Consumer API classes to send messages to the Connected Services Framework components.

The Connected Services Framework consumer API classes provide many benefits; they:

  • Abstract WSE
  • Are easy to use
  • Insulate applications against changes in component implementation

Ideally, the Connected Services Framework consumer classes, along with the Connected Services Framework Common library, should be used in applications that call the Connected Services Framework components.
