Architectural Elements
Visual Studio .NET 2003
The architects of Duwamish 7.0 developed application requirements, which provided the foundation for design decisions. Based on the application's intended functionality, the architects comprised elements that would enable the application to deliver its intended results. For example, architects chose an error-handling method, a security configuration, a data access strategy, and so on. Look for sections that are labeled Key Points for specific architectural guidance that applies to technology or deployment decisions.
Note The .NET technologies that Duwamish 7.0 uses are only a subset of the .NET technologies available in the .NET Framework. For a complete description of .NET technologies, see Inside the .NET Framework.
