This section of the MSDN® Library provides documentation for power management: those features of Microsoft® Windows® Base Services that enable the operating system to manage power resources and respond to changes in power status. The documents here explain how Windows power management works and how your applications can adapt to it. Applications you build can monitor power status messages broadcast by Windows and respond by preparing themselves for sleep, modifying their behavior to adapt to the power mode, or otherwise react to power status changes.
