Specifies the name of the server on which the distributor runs.

Element Characteristics

Characteristic	Description
Data Type	string, between 1 and 255 characters in length.
Default Value	None.
Occurrence	Required once per <Distributor> node.
Updateable	Can be modified, but not added or deleted, using NSControl Update.

Remarks

IP addresses are not permitted as values for the <SystemName> element.

In Notification Services Standard Edition, all <SystemName> elements in an application must be identical. In Notification Services Enterprise Edition, the generator, distributors, and event providers can be distributed on multiple systems.
