Compares two expressions (a comparison operator). When you compare nonnull expressions, the result is TRUE when both operands are equal; otherwise, the result is FALSE.

- Is any valid expression in Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 Windows® CE Edition (SQL Server CE). Both expressions must have implicitly convertible data types. The conversion depends on the rules of data type precedence.
The following example uses the equals comparison operator to focus a search to a specific customer in the Orders table in the Northwind database.
