FileIOPermission Methods

The methods of the FileIOPermission class are listed here. For a complete list of FileIOPermission class members, see the FileIOPermission Members topic.

Public Methods

public methodAddPathList Overloaded. Adds access for the specified files and directories to the existing state of the permission.
public methodAssert (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Declares that the calling code can access the resource protected by a permission demand through the code that calls this method, even if callers higher in the stack have not been granted permission to access the resource. Using Assert can create security vulnerabilities.
public methodCopy Overridden. Creates and returns an identical copy of the current permission.
public methodDemand (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Forces a SecurityException at run time if all callers higher in the call stack have not been granted the permission specified by the current instance.
public methodDeny (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Prevents callers higher in the call stack from using the code that calls this method to access the resource specified by the current instance.
public methodEquals (inherited from Object) Overloaded. Determines whether two Object instances are equal.
public methodFromXml Overridden. Reconstructs a permission with a specified state from an XML encoding.
public methodGetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
public methodGetPathList Gets all files and directories with the specified FileIOPermissionAccess.
public methodGetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the current instance.
public methodIntersect Overridden. Creates and returns a permission that is the intersection of the current permission and the specified permission.
public methodIsSubsetOf Overridden. Determines whether the current permission is a subset of the specified permission.
public methodIsUnrestricted Returns a value indicating whether the current permission is unrestricted.
public methodPermitOnly (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Prevents callers higher in the call stack from using the code that calls this method to access all resources except for the resource specified by the current instance.
public methodSetPathList Overloaded. Sets the specified access to the specified files and directories, replacing the existing state of the permission.
public methodToString (inherited from CodeAccessPermission) Overridden. Creates and returns a string representation of the current permission object.
public methodToXml Overridden. Creates an XML encoding of the permission and its current state.
public methodUnion Overridden. Creates a permission that is the union of the current permission and the specified permission.

Protected Methods

protected methodFinalize (inherited from Object) Overridden. Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by garbage collection.

In C# and C++, finalizers are expressed using destructor syntax.

protected methodMemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
