BaseNumberConverter.CanConvertFrom Method (ITypeDescriptorContext, Type)

Determines if this converter can convert an object in the given source type to the native type of the converter.

Parameters

context
Type: System.ComponentModel.ITypeDescriptorContext

An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context.

sourceType
Type: System.Type

A Type that represents the type from which you want to convert.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if this converter can perform the operation; otherwise, false.

Supported in: 4.5, 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0, 1.1, 1.0

.NET Framework Client Profile

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
