Setting Deployment Project Properties

Deployment projects have two categories of properties: general project properties and configuration-dependent properties. General properties are set in the Properties window and apply to all project configurations. To set configuration-dependent properties, you use the Deployment Properties dialog box; configuration-dependent properties apply to a specific project configuration.

To set configuration-dependent properties

  1. On the View menu, choose Property Pages.
  2. Select a configuration from the Configuration list.
Tip   If most of your deployment properties are common across all configurations, you can avoid duplicate effort by choosing All Configurations. Once the common properties are set, choose another configuration and set any unique properties.
  3. Select a category from the list of categories. The properties for the selected category will be displayed.
