Web References Property Page

The Web References property page specifies how the XML Web service proxy class will be generated. An XML Web service proxy class will be generated if you add a web reference to your project. See Add Web Reference for more information.

The Web References property page contains the following properties:

Output file
The name of the file to contain the XML Web service proxy class. Depending on whether the Generated Proxy Language is Managed C++ or Native C++, the output file will either be a .h file (Native C++) or a .dll (Managed C++).
Suppress Startup Banner
Do not display the banner for the Web Services Description Language Tool (Wsdl.exe).
Generated Proxy Language
The file type in which you will reference the XML Web service proxy class. If the XML Web service proxy class will be referenced (via #using) from a file being compiled under /clr, set this property to Managed C++. If the XML Web service proxy class will be referenced (via #include) from a file being compiled without /clr, set this property to Native C++.

See Consuming XML Web Services for more information.
