AsymmetricSignatureFormatter.CreateSignature Method (HashAlgorithm)

Creates the signature from the specified hash value.

Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
public virtual byte[] CreateSignature(
	HashAlgorithm hash
)

Parameters

hash
Type: System.Security.Cryptography.HashAlgorithm

The hash algorithm to use to create the signature.

Return Value

Type: System.Byte[]
The signature for the specified hash value.
ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The hash parameter is null.

This method sets the hash algorithm to be used, then returns the signature of the input hash algorithm value.

.NET Framework Client Profile

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core Role not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core Role supported with SP1 or later; Itanium not supported)
