Parameters

obj

The object for which to get a COM VARIANT.

pDstNativeVariant

An IntPtr to receive the VARIANT corresponding to the obj parameter.

Exception typeCondition

ArgumentException

The obj parameter is a generic type.

The pDstNativeVariant parameter must point to sufficient memory to store the resulting VARIANT.

This method uses SecurityAction.LinkDemand to prevent it from being called from untrusted code; only the immediate caller is required to have SecurityPermissionAttribute.UnmanagedCode permission. If your code can be called from partially trusted code, do not pass user input to Marshal class methods without validation.
