Marshal.GetTypeLibName Method (ITypeLib)
Retrieves the name of a type library.
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
[SecurityPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction.LinkDemand, Flags = SecurityPermissionFlag.UnmanagedCode)] public static string GetTypeLibName( ITypeLib typelib )
Return ValueType: System.String
The name of the type library pointed to by the typelib parameter.
The name returned by this method is the identifier used with the library statement, such as ADODB for the Microsoft ADO type library. The name is not a file name.
You can also retrieve the type library name by calling the UCOMITypeInfo.GetDocumentation method and passing a -1 for its first parameter.
This method uses SecurityAction.LinkDemand to prevent it from being called from untrusted code; only the immediate caller is required to have SecurityPermissionAttribute.UnmanagedCode permission. If your code can be called from partially trusted code, do not pass user input to Marshal class methods without validation. For important limitations on using the LinkDemand member, see Demand vs. LinkDemand.
