.NET Framework Class Library
Button.OnMouseUp Method
Raises the OnMouseUp event.
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)
Syntax
Visual Basic
Protected Overrides Sub OnMouseUp ( _ mevent As MouseEventArgs _ )
C#
protected override void OnMouseUp( MouseEventArgs mevent )
Visual C++
protected: virtual void OnMouseUp( MouseEventArgs^ mevent ) override
F#
abstract OnMouseUp : mevent:MouseEventArgs -> unit override OnMouseUp : mevent:MouseEventArgs -> unit
Parameters
- mevent
- Type: System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs
A MouseEventArgs that contains the event data.
Remarks
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.
The OnMouseUp method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors
When overriding OnMouseUp in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnMouseUp method so that registered delegates receive the event.
