Working with Folders in Class View

Class View allows you to create virtual folders to organize frequently used symbols and provide quick access to them. These folders are saved on a per-solution basis in the .Suo file.

To create a new folder, select the New Folder button on the Class View toolbar. If a folder node is selected, a sub-folder is created under it, otherwise, a top-level folder is created. You can then drag symbols and other folders into it.

Note   Because folders are only a view of your data, copying symbols into or deleting symbols from them has no affect on the actual symbols in your projects; it is only a navigational and organizational aid. However, renaming or deleting the symbols from code might cause them to appear as error nodes under the folder. These must be corrected manually by dragging the symbol into the folder again.
