Int64.Equals Method (Int64)

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Returns a value indicating whether this instance is equal to a specified Int64 value.

Namespace: System
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

'Declaration
Public Function Equals ( _
	obj As Long _
) As Boolean
'Usage
Dim instance As Long
Dim obj As Long
Dim returnValue As Boolean

returnValue = instance.Equals(obj)
public final boolean Equals (
	long obj
)
public final function Equals (
	obj : long
) : boolean

Parameters

obj

An Int64 value to compare to this instance.

Return Value

true if obj has the same value as this instance; otherwise, false.

This method implements the System.IEquatable interface, and performs slightly better than Equals because it does not have to convert the obj parameter to an object.
