Join Tim Huckaby and Simon Hamilton Ritchie, CEO of MatchboxMobile as they discuss Windows Phone and it’s many capabilities. Simon walks us through his latest project with T-Mobile where he helped create an application that helps families communicate through sharing pictures, calendar sync and chat features. This application was created within 6 weeks prior to the Windows Phone 7 launch and was pre-installed in HTC®phone devices. Windows Azure was also utilized to deploy this application and was the key in helping them deliver within 6 weeks. Tune in to hear more!

About Simon

Simon was a chief architect and head trouble-shooter for countless high-profile projects and clients for 9+ years. As a consultant and then Head of Research at DAT Group, he found novel solutions to complex problems to prove new technologies and to prove business cases. Simon's technical prowess and communications skills allow him to help clients and partners capitalize on new technologies. These range from highly-complex server and corporate systems to esoteric wireless, radio and networking solutions. Simon is the original founder of Matchbox Mobile, and holds a degree in Mathematics from the Open University. Simon has a thirst for good coffee and works of art. He enjoys cycling, rock climbing and roller blading, too.


About Tim

Tim Huckaby is focused on the Natural User Interface (NUI)- Touch, Gesture, and Neural, in Rich Client Technologies on a broad spectrum of devices

Tim has been called a “Pioneer of the Smart Client Revolution” by the press. Tim has been awarded many times for the highest rated technical presentations and keynotes for Microsoft and many other technology conferences around the world. Tim has been on stage with, and done numerous keynote demos for many Microsoft executives including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

Tim founded InterKnowlogy, a custom application development company, in 1999 and Actus Interactive Software in 2011 and has over 30 years of experience including serving on a Microsoft product team as a development lead on an architecture team on a Server Product. Tim is a Microsoft Regional Director, a Microsoft MVP and serves on many Microsoft councils and boards like the Microsoft .NET Partner Advisory Council.
