Letter to Prospective Consultants

Dear Prospective Consultant:

Thanks for your interest in being listed in the Microsoft HealthVault consultant directory. Below are the steps for possible inclusion of your company in the consultant directory.

You must demonstrate ability to build HealthVault-compatible applications and/or devices by bringing at least one such application or device to market (listed at http://www.healthvault.com/programs and/or http://www.healthvault.com/devices), either under your own brand or that of a client. If your client approves, these links may also be referenced in your entry in the consultant directory.

  • For application developers, we require that the application has met all Microsoft requirements for going live and that its configuration has been propagated to our consumer environment.
  • For device developers, we require that the device driver has passed any tests we require for going live.

You must sign the HealthVault Consultant Directory Agreement—contact hvbd@microsoft.com to get started on this. This document includes key points such as:

  • Accuracy of your information and Microsoft rights to display names and logo
  • Your client is willing to confirm to Microsoft your involvement in the project. Your client is not required to allow listing of their name, program, or logo in the consultant directory—in those cases, your directory entry should not list those "examples."

When the agreement is completed, send the following information to the HealthVault program administrators at hvConslt@microsoft.com:

  • Company name
  • Company logo (100x40 pixels, PNG format)
  • Contact information to be displayed in the directory for potential customers—please include all modes of access that might be useful to them: phone, e-mail and Web site
  • List of example applications or devices, if allowed by client

We also suggest that you become active on our HealthVault developer forum at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/healthvault/default.aspx as a way to demonstrate your knowledge publicly.
