Windows Vista International Extensibility

Microsoft Windows Vista currently supports more than 200 locales (100+ languages), and yet this covers only a fraction of speakers worldwide. Knowing that Windows Vista would not contain all the locales and keyboards to address all the languages/regions/cultures in the world, the Windows International team a set of tools to allow users to create new items for and update Microsoft Windows Vista.

  A tool for transliterating (converting) one natural language script to another (like Serbian Latin to Serbian Cyrillic or Latin to Inuktitut). This tool includes the capability to create, edit, debug, and test new natural language transliteration modules.

  The Community Glossary project is where Microsoft works in cooperation with local governments, universities, and other groups worldwide to help them build standardized glossaries of technical IT terms.
