About Brandon

Brandon Watson serves as a director responsible for the developer experience of Windows Phone 7. His responsibilities include managing the developer application platform, showcase application program, developer marketing, and field and sales readiness for developer engagements. 

Prior to his current role, Watson ran technical marketing for the Server and Tools business at Microsoft, specifically focusing on developer platforms, including Azure and .NET. Prior to rejoining Microsoft, Watson was CEO and founder of IMSafer, a software company focused on keeping children safe online. Watson has also done time working in venture capital, as a Principal with Soros Private Equity Partners. He has been on the founding team of three companies which have all sold.

Watson earned a dual bachelor's degree in Economics and Systems Science Engineering from the Management & Technology program at the University of Pennsylvania. Watson also earned his Masters of Business Administration, with a focus on New Venture Creation and Management, from The Wharton School of Business. He is married with three children. In his free time, he finds new and creative ways to bring pain and suffering to his body, including Ironman triathlons, mountain biking, and playing with his children.

About Tim

Tim Huckaby is the Founder of InterKnowlogy, experts in Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Platforms, and has 25+ years experience including serving on a Microsoft product team as a development lead on an architecture team. Tim is a Microsoft Regional Director, an MVP and serves on multiple Microsoft councils and boards. Currently, Tim is focused on RIA & Rich Client Technologies like WPF, VSTO, Surface, Silverlight, Windows 7 Touch, and Windows Phone 7. He has been called a "Pioneer of the Smart Client Revolution" by the press. Tim has been awarded multiple times for the highest-rated keynote for Microsoft and numerous other technology conferences around the world and is consistently rated in the top 10% of all speakers at these events. Tim has also done keynote demos for numerous Microsoft executives including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.
