GetStandardValuesExclusive Method
.NET Framework Class Library
TypeConverter..::.GetStandardValuesExclusive Method

Returns whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues is an exclusive list.

Namespace:  System.ComponentModel
Assembly:  System (in System.dll)
Visual Basic (Declaration)
Public Function GetStandardValuesExclusive As Boolean
Visual Basic (Usage)
Dim instance As TypeConverter
Dim returnValue As Boolean

returnValue = instance.GetStandardValuesExclusive()
C#
public bool GetStandardValuesExclusive()
Visual C++
public:
bool GetStandardValuesExclusive()
JScript
public function GetStandardValuesExclusive() : boolean

Return Value

Type: System..::.Boolean
true if the TypeConverter..::.StandardValuesCollection returned from GetStandardValues is an exhaustive list of possible values; false if other values are possible.

As implemented in this class, this method always returns false.

If the list is exclusive, such as in an enumeration data type, then no other values are valid. If the list is not exclusive, then other valid values might exist in addition to the list of standard values that the GetStandardValues method provides. If the values are exclusive, the list returned by GetStandardValues should not allow these values to be edited.
