Examples

The following code example accesses the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Research object of the document to set the default language pair that is used in the translation service. It sets English (US) as the language of the source text to translate from and Japanese as the language to translate the text to. The default translation languages appear in the Research pane in Excel under the Translation section.

This example is for a document-level customization.

private void SetTranslationLanguages()
{
    int EnglishUSLanguage = 1033;
    int JapaneseLanguage = 1041;
    this.Research.SetLanguagePair(EnglishUSLanguage,
                                JapaneseLanguage);
}
Private Sub SetTranslationLanguages()
    Dim EnglishUSLanguage As Integer = 1033
    Dim JapaneseLanguage As Integer = 1041
    Me.Research.SetLanguagePair(EnglishUSLanguage, _
                                JapaneseLanguage)
End Sub
