Lesson 1: User interface improvements and extensibility in SharePoint 2010

The user experience of SharePoint 2010 has significantly changed from earlier versions. In this module, we cover key changes in the user interface and how you can use the same functionalities in your customizations to provide the fluent UI. We cover ribbon customizations, using the dialog framework and notifications, theming engine changes, and the new master page model.

Lesson 2: List enhancements and customizations in SharePoint 2010
List functionality in SharePoint 2010 is improved in many different areas. In this module, we cover key changes in list functionality. SharePoint 2010 provides enhanced support for different events that are raised during data management and an improved user experience. We also cover changes in list relationships, large list support, field or list item validation, XSLT rendering, and using InfoPath forms as list forms. We also cover proper ways to access list information efficiently in customizations that are implemented by developers.
