The Text type encompasses any sequence of Characters.

The functions in the following table are defined on Text.

Function Description

Count()

Returns the number of Characters in the text.

Like (pattern : Text)

Returns true if the pattern is found within the Text, otherwise false.

PatternIndex (pattern : Text)

Returns the starting position of the pattern within the Text, or -1 if the pattern is not found.
