3.3.5.59.3 Receiving an NT_TRANSACT_SET_SECURITY_DESC Request

Upon receipt of an NT_TRANSACT_SET_SECURITY_DESC (section 2.2.7.3) subcommand request, the NT Trans subsystem MUST attempt to set the security descriptors provided in the request to the file specified by the FID. The SecurityDescriptor field indicates which security descriptors are to be set.

The FID and SecurityInformation fields are passed in the NT_Trans_Parameters block of the request. The security descriptors are passed in the SecurityDescriptor array in the NT_Trans_Data section of the request.<350>

The response indicates either success or, if the request failed, the error that was generated.
