MSDNAA Overview

The MSDN Academic Alliance is the easiest and most inexpensive way for academic departments to make the latest Microsoft software available in labs, classrooms, and on student PCs. The program, which is available in more than 45 countries worldwide, has two primary goals:

To make it easier and less expensive for academic institutions to obtain Microsoft developer tools, platforms, and servers for instructional and research purposes.
To build a community of instructors who can share curriculum and other learning resources to support the use of these technologies.

Developer AA

Get the latest Microsoft servers and development tools—over 300 titles in all! Developer AA is an annual membership for departments that use technology in support of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses.

Designer AA

Make the latest Microsoft Expression design tools available in labs, classrooms, and on student PCs at Art/Design schools and universities. Designer AA is an annual membership for departments that use technology in support of Visualisation, Illustration, Design, and Art (VIDA) courses.

High School AA

High School AA is an annual membership for secondary schools that makes the development and design tools found in Visual Studio and Expression Studio 2 software available in labs, classrooms, and on students' PCs.
